Anaya, the new 62nd OG commander, during the group’s assumption of command ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, June 7, 2021. As the 62nd OG commander, Anaya ensures the combat readiness of three C-17A Globemaster III airlift squadrons and an operations support squadron to conduct all aspects of C-17 operations. Anaya is a senior pilot with more than 3,800 hours in the C-17 Globemaster III, C-21A, T-1 Jayhawk, and T-37 Tweet aircraft and has logged more than 930 combat hours.
