62nd OG receives new commander

U.S. Air Force Col. Erin Staine-Pyne, 62nd Airlift Wing commander, presents the 62nd Operations Group guidon to Col. Sergio E. Anaya, the new 62nd OG commander, during the group’s assumption of command ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, June 7, 2021. As the 62nd OG commander, Anaya ensures the combat readiness of three C-17A Globemaster III airlift squadrons and an operations support squadron to conduct all aspects of C-17 operations. Anaya is a senior pilot with more than 3,800 hours in the C-17 Globemaster III, C-21A, T-1 Jayhawk, and T-37 Tweet aircraft and has logged more than 930 combat hours.
