Col. Jimmy Canlas, outgoing 437th Airlift Wing commander, departs with his wife Joy following a change of command ceremony July 12, 2018, in Nose Dock 2. The 437th AW flew 20,000 sorties, consisting of 47,000 flying hours, 209,000 short tons of cargo transported, 138,000 passengers transported and 52,000 jumps. The wing accounted for 33 percent of Air Mobility Command’s strategic airlift operations during Canlas’s time as commander.
