Airman explains Bobtail problem

Airman 1st Class Brandon Reed, 62nd Maintenance Squadron aircraft ground equipment apprentice, explains the problem he discovered with the lanyard placement of the pintle hook on one of the McChord Field Bobtail vehicles, which can cause the nut on the pivot bolt to fall off. Further investigation identified that the placement of the lanyard was the same on all 14 McChord Field Bobtails which led to the relocation of the lanyard on the Bobtail fleet to ensure adequate thread protrusion between the hinge bolt and nut.
