Finger roll

Master Sgt. Phil Ryan, 62nd Airlift Wing inspector general superintendent, executes a finger roll on Tech. Sgt. Whitney Trisch, 62nd Aerial Port Squadron cargo processing supervisor, Sept. 9, 2013, at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, Wash. The finger roll is a self-defense technique designed to remove an attacker's hand from the victim's shoulder, while at the same time, creating space between each person.
