McChord hosts Special Olympics opening ceremonies

Col. Jeffrey Stephenson, 62nd Airlift Wing commander, welcomes athletes, their families and volunteers to opening ceremonies of the annual Special Olympics Washington Summer Games here May 29. McChord and Fort Lewis are teamed up to host more than 8,000 athletes, coaches and volunteers participating in the annual Summer Games.
