An Air Force OA-10A seaplane, known in the Navy as a PB-Y Catalina, is currently being restored by a volunteer crew from the McChord Air Museum. The Catalina arrived at McChord Field on a truck in 1988, and the wings had been sawed off. The crew has completely rebuilt the aircraft, and the project is about 98 percent complete. The newspaper photograph shows the condition of the aircraft when it arrived. (U.S. Air Force photo/Abner Guzman)
