Safety, training crucial to riding motorcycles

Lt. Col. Jason King, 62nd Airlift Wing chief of safety, displays the proper wear of motorcycle gloves April 10, 2012, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Active duty military members who ride motorcycles are required to wear a long sleeve upper outer garment, long pants, full fingered gloves, sturdy footwear and eye protection; a windshield on the motorcycle does not constitute proper eye protection. These requirements are outlined in Air Force Instruction 91-207, “Air Force Traffic Safety Program.” (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Leah Young)
