A C-17 Globemaster III taxis on a runway during Operation Max Moose at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, July 12, 2023. The purpose of this operation was to exercise and evaluate the 62d Operations Group and the 62d Maintenance Group’s ability to launch a maximum number of aircraft and sustain extended duration flights with McChord’s C-17s over a 44-hour period.
