"Senior Airman Smith was chosen because she is the heartbeat of the OSS," said Lt. Col. Teri L. Consoldane, 62nd Operations Support Squadron commander. "She has responsibility for keeping a majority of the commander's programs on track and still finds time to run the Unit Advisory Council, to plan nearly every detail of our squadron social events, raise funds and keep us active in our community. She's also a squadron spouse, with two young children at home and a deployed husband. She not only fixes any problem she comes across, but actively looks for ways to improve the efficiency of the squadron, the environment in which we work and the morale of our Airmen. We wouldn't be nearly the squadron we are without her contributions." (U.S. Air Force graphic/Adamarie Lewis-Page)
