As we enter into the long, Thanksgiving weekend I wanted to spend a couple minutes to tell you what I am thankful for. First of all, I am thankful to God for this rare opportunity to serve with and for the best Airmen in our Air Force.

Second, I am thankful for my wife Sheri and my family. They have selflessly supported me for many years and I am very lucky to have them. Please...take the time tonight or tomorrow to thank your family members and friends for their sacrifices and let them know how thankful Sheri and I are for what they give to our Air Force family and to Team McChord.

Third, I am thankful for our community partners...the absolute best I have ever seen. We are truly blessed to live and work in a community that is so supportive and giving; I am extremely thankful for that.

Fourth, I am thankful to live in a nation that values freedom and diversity; it's what makes our country great!

Finally, I am thankful to each and every one of you...the spectacular Airmen of McChord. You all are magnificent and I am amazed everyday with your great attitude, professionalism, work ethic, and care for each other. I think that is what sets us apart...the way we care about each other.

Please, have a wonderful, restful, and SAFE holiday weekend and please take the time to remember our friends who are deployed and reach out to their families. God Bless!
