New Horizons Honduras 2015
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Raul Perez, 823rd Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron vehicle maintenance NCOIC, out of Hurlburt Field, Fla., moves a pallet with a forklift at Base Aerea Coronel Hector Caraccioli Moncada in La Ceiba, Honduras, Aug. 28, 2015, to a waiting C-17 Globemaster III from the 62nd Airlift Wing out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Vehicles, equipment and personnel from the New Horizons Honduras 2015 training exercise redeployed to Hurlburt Field. All remaining equipment will be transported via sealift. New Horizons was launched in the 1980s and is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise that U.S. Southern Command conducts with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. The exercise improves joint training readiness of U.S. and partner nation civil engineers, medical professionals and support personnel through humanitarian assistance activities.
