U.S. Air Force retired Capt. Stuart “Boot” Gordon speaks to Airmen during his visit at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash., Dec. 20, 2023. Gordon shared his experiences as a fighter pilot in World War II, and he also toured the 8th Airlift Squadron and a C-17 Globemaster III. Team McChord hosted the WWII veteran to learn about his career as a pilot, leader and advocate to strengthen heritage to continue to prioritize resilient, capable and ready Airmen and families.
