Pierce Transit expands bus route on base

MCCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  Pierce Transit has made things easier for people here looking to save gas money and avoid traffic by using public transportation.

Bus service to McChord has been expanded and now offers service to the base's passenger terminal. 

The 300A bus now makes 11 weekday stops at the passenger terminal.

The first bus arrives at the terminal at 7:47 a.m., and the last bus leaves the terminal at 5:52 p.m.

There are six scheduled stops at the terminal on Saturday. There is no service on Sunday.

Previously, the bus only took McChord-bound passengers as far as the base exchange/commissary area.

The bus will continue to make 14 daily stops at the commissary and base exchange.
