JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- Senior Airman Zackery Riley, left, and Airman 1st Class Sascha Shelton, 62nd Operations Support Squadron, inventory equipment in preparation for an upcoming deployment. The Aircrew Flight Equipment field encompasses functions that enhance aircrew performance through the proper equipment integration of the human and the aircraft. The mission: "Maximize aircrew member's performance while protecting and sustaining human life during flight operations."
