Tops In Blue, the premiere entertainment showcase of the Air Force, is scheduled to perform 7 p.m. Nov. 8 in Hangar 9 at McChord Field, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.

The 2011 edition of Tops In Blue is entitled "Rhythm Nation." The performances will feature music from Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more. The show will also pay tribute to the heroes of Sept. 11, 2001 as the performers recognize their sacrifices 10 years later.

In addition, Senior Airman James Santos from the 62nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, will be playing the trumpet. The 25-year-old maintenance Airman, who worked in the precision measurement equipment laboratory, was selected to become a member of the 2011 Tops in Blue tour after the annual Air Force Worldwide Talent Search at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in December 2010.

"Those of us who have worked with him are eager to have him back in the area," said Master Sgt. Aaron Weslow, Santos' former supervisor. "I'm looking forward to the show and his return."

The Tops In Blue 2011 team will visit more than 125 locations in the United States and 25 foreign countries. Their official website is www.topsinblue.com and information about the 2011 touring schedule and how to join the team.
