McChord Field adverse weather reporting update Published Jan. 19, 2012 By 62nd Airlift Wing Public Affairs 62nd Airlift Wing Public Affairs JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- Due to the inclement weather and road conditions and in concern for the safety of all personnel, the 62nd Airlift Wing commander, in conjunction with the Garrison Commander, has directed the following curtailment for McChord Field: - Critical and mission essential personnel will report for duty as normal. - Non-essential mission personnel will not report for duty on Friday, 20 January. The BX, Food Court, Commissary and Fitness Center (Main Gym) and are open normal business hours. The Dining Facility is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight meal and will provide food for any family members presenting ID. The Fitness Center Annex is closed through the weekend. In addition, the Dining Facility and Fitness Center (Main Gym) are open 24/7 to provide warmth for you and your families. Medical and Dental clinic are unable to accept patients until further notice.
