Boeing Classic hosts Military Appreciation Day

If you've ever wanted to experience one of the most unique sports in our region and watch the legends of golf compete at the best event on the Champions Tour, the Boeing Classic is hosting members of the military.

The Boeing Classic will recognize the men and women who serve our country with the tournament's second annual Military Appreciation Day at the Tournament Players Club in Snoqualmie, Wash., Aug. 26.

In an effort to have as many service members as possible take part in the celebration, active duty, retired and Reserve military as well as their family members will receive free admission to the tournament.

In addition to receiving free admission and hospitality, military personnel will play a vital role in several of the tournament's events and operations. Highlights of Military Appreciation Day activities include:

· Free admission for active, retired and Reserve military and their dependents with ID

· Free parking in Boeing Classic Spectator Lot with military ID

· The Patriots Outpost, a special event tent at the top of the 18th Green hosted by the
USO, will offer free food and drink for military families

· Special performance of the National Anthem with U.S. Armed Forces color guard prior to the first tee times at 10:30 a.m.

· First Tee player announcements made by military personnel

· Old Glory to serve as the pin flag on the 18th Green
