Wheel washing

Staff Sgt. Christopher Hirsch, 62nd Maintenance Squadron aerospace maintenance journeyman, lowers a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft wheel assembly, which is a two-part design that weighs approximately 80-pounds, into the wheel washing machine Aug. 1, 2013 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The solvent in the washing machine breaks down the dirt and grime making it easier for technicians to scrub away the debris. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Jason Truskowski)
