62d AW conducts aeromedical evacuation training

Sarah Hirsch, a physician’s assistant, both with the 62d Medical Squadron, secure a litter onto a litter carrier during aeromedical evacuation training at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Sept. 21, 2023. During this training, 62d MDS Airmen toured the inside and outside of C-17 Globemaster and practiced on and off-loading a litter onto the back of. This allowed the Airmen to see first-hand what it’s like to communicate with each other in a different, louder environment than they are used to.
