62d AW returns from AFFORGEN deployment

A U.S. Airman with the 62d Airlift Wing is welcomed home from a deployment by a loved one at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, April 4, 2023. This deployment was the 62d Airlift Wing’s first under the new Air Force Force Generation Model in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command operations. The new AFFORGEN model aims to reconstitute Air Mobility Command’s manpower, aircraft and equipment into force elements that train, deploy and recover as cohesive units throughout each phase of the cycle.
