U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 62d Aerial Port Squadron fleet services section perform daily servicing tasks at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Dec. 18, 2024.

Airmen in fleet services are tasked with ensuring aircrew have the necessary materials like clean water, cups, napkins, trash bags, other necessities, and ensuring the aircraft’s latrine and trashes are clean, free of odor and ready for usage.

“These fleet Airmen, proudly known as Port Dawgs, are the unsung heroes of the flightline, tirelessly working behind the scenes in arguably the busiest section of the Aerial Port, where they play a critical role in executing today's global airlift mission," said Master Sgt. Ryan Ramos, 62d Aerial Port Squadron fleet services section chief. “I am proud to work alongside these quiet professionals.”
