JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. --

U.S. Air Force Airmen perform pre-flight checks at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, July 29, 2024. Crew chiefs from the 62d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron are responsible for many tasks including aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and marshalling aircraft departing and arriving. Maintenance Airmen work on-and-off the flightline to ensure the C-17 Globemaster III is mission-ready and primed for global airlift.
