In honor of POW/MIA Recognition Day and to conclude the POW/MIA Remembrance Week, Team McChord held a wreath laying ceremony this morning. Col. Christopher Hall, 627th Air Base Group commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Clark, 627th ABG superintendent, laid the wreath at the McChord War Memorial as Airmen gathered to pay respect to the more than 81,000 American heroes who were, and may still be, missing in action and those who were prisoners of war.

Though this week draws to an end, we do not stop honoring those we have lost or the sacrifices our Nation’s POW/MIA men and women made. We continue to execute our mission and protect the freedoms we all hold so dear with dignity, respect and admiration for those who came before us.

Thank you again to each person who participated in the events of this week and to all those who made them possible.
