JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. -- The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Outreach Event was truly a “first of it’s kind” event! After weeks of intense planning and preparation, 62 AW Airmen departed Joint Base Lewis-McChord with the expressed purpose of interacting with as many students and future Air Force Airmen as they could. Over the course of six days, the 62d AW visited four separate locations across the country, flew 140 ROTC cadets to the “Accelerating the Legacy” event in Charleston, South Carolina. The team performed over 500 distinct interactions during six outreach events. Gen. Michael Minihan.
