Heating ducts
Tech. Sgt. JD Dearborn, 304th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron and 62nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flying crew chief, connects heating ducts, Oct. 8th, 2014, to the engine of a McChord Field C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at the Pegasus White Ice runway, part of McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Five different heating units were used to keep the aircraft from freezing up while it was being loaded as temperatures before wind chill were -19 degrees. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
