Training Mission Airlifts Critical Humanitarian Aid to Latin America

Citizen Airmen of the 315th Airlift Wing delivered over 130,000 pounds of donated humanitarian aid to an outreach organization in Managua, Nicaragua, during a training mission, February 5, 2017. During the weekend mission, aircrews of two C-17s airlifted over 110,000 pounds of food – enough to provide an estimated 5.4 million meals - as part of the Denton program, which allows for space available on military cargo planes to be used for humanitarian aid.
