McChord Air Force Base, Wash. -- Tuesday, Team McChord will welcome inspectors from Air Mobility Command to the base for our Nuclear Surety Inspection.

This demanding inspection will test every aspect of our nuclear surety program and many units throughout the base.

Inspectors have already evaluated McChord Airmen on various aspects of this program and will complete their inspection next week.

McChord provides a critical mission for the nation -- we are the Air Force's only prime nuclear airlift wing.

When our country needs to move nuclear weapons, our leaders know they can turn to McChord to get the mission done.

Failure is not an option for these missions, and every piece of the puzzle must fall perfectly into place so we can execute these missions safely.

From the meticulous maintenance on the aircraft to the exacting medical care for the aircrews, Team McChord carries out this crucial mission with the precision of a Swiss watch.

Next week, I want you all to share your professionalism and pride with the inspectors as they visit your work areas and examine your procedures.

The inspectors will be here focusing on our program for only a short period of time, but our outstanding nuclear surety office keeps the focus on safety and surety all year round.

Throughout the year, they check every record and procedure to ensure we're always on track. We're ready to impress.

Every one of you is an expert in your area of the personnel readiness program, prime nuclear airlift mission and nuclear surety program. Let your expertise shine.

Share your knowledge with the inspectors as they ask you about your program.

I have no doubt that we are the best in the world at what we do, but there is always room for improvement.

Listen to the inspectors and learn from them. They can help us improve our processes to be even better.

I want to thank you all for everything you do to make this program a success for your nation.

Our country entrusts us with a crucial mission, remember that next week as we show the inspectors how we have earned that trust.
